Game 2 of the Season – Sunday April 7th

FirstHitI know I’m a bit behind, but I figured I’d try to catch up this week.  Game 1 as everyone knows was Opening Day for me.  Wearing blaze orange to keep warm, I watched the Brewers defeat the Rockies, and capture an opening day win for the first time in 5 years.  For a day, we were undefeated!  The Tuesday after, I took a day off from work and baseball to recover (more sleep deprived than anything) and it sure felt good.

Sunday I had off of work, and my partner in crime Jay Mack and I decided to go to the game on Sunday.  We shuttled down there with Josh, Val, Amy and Paul’s wonderful mother Nancy (whom by the way is the BEST cook in the world) from Brewski’s, and got our bobbleheads.  Unfortunately, no one got the retro one, but a Nori Aoki bobblehead is cool no matter what color the uniform!  After going our separate ways, Jay and I found ourselves behind section 117, directly behind players’ friends/family and home plate.  I took a few pictures, but the shadows wreaked havoc on my camera.

The game itself was a lot of fun.  Aoki went 4-6, on a hitting rampage, Josh Prince got his first major league hit (pictured left), and local fan favorite Eric Hinske (from up north) hit a 2 run home run for the Diamondbacks.  It was great to see Josh Prince achieve his dreams, hitting in the majors, and contributing to the Brewers.  I tweeted him the pic, and talked to him briefly on Monday at Wrigley.  Anyways, lets’ close this one out.   Free baseball is always great, but the D-backs got the best of us.  No worries though, it’s still early in the season and we will get the kinks unkinked and be a force to be reckoned with!

I am a life-long superfan of the Milwaukee Brewers, but don't hold that against me! I love baseball, every team, every crack of the bat, every close play, and especially the rivalries. I am 30 years old living in Brown Deer, WI (about 10 minutes north of Milwaukee). Currently I work in retail but hopefully soon I will be working for MLB, preferably in the MLB Fan Cave in New York City. My purpose in starting this blog is to highlight the Milwaukee Superfans as well as their antics, ramblings, and achievements. If I've missed anything, please feel free to send me a email and ask away! Go Brewers!
