Game 5, 6, and 7

This is the year of trying to make it to games cheaply and still having fun.  Game 5, Wednesday night vs the Giants, I managed an $8 ticket off of stubhub that got me in the door.  I decided to go check out the newly renovated Home Plate Bar on the club level, and I must say, it is nice.  Getting up there is still my secret, and let’s just say as long as I don’t make a ruckus, I will be allowed to come and go as I please.  One thing I do like is I can blog on my ipad while listening to the game at the ballpark, and then make my way out to an empty section and enjoy the game as it unfolds in front of me.  Section 306, all the way in right field, used to be our Superfan section when Corey “the Condor” Hart was a right fielder.  Many a game we spent in the section dubbed “306 1/2” because it was a smaller section, and Corey appreciated us enough to toss us practice balls.  Yes, to the third level in Miller Park.  I did have my blaze orange hat, and yes, the crew won.

Brewers: 5-8, Blaze Orange Wins (3), Foul/Practice Balls (2)

Game 6 was a day game, and after leaving work early I decided to take a shuttle from Brewski’s (our local tavern) down to the park.  I met up with Superfan Handy Jay and we watched the game from Section 117 behind the plate.  I got a few pics, not too many because I’m not a fan of the net being in the way.  axstrikeWhat I do like about this picture of Axford throwing a strike is the fact that you can see the ball in mid-air.  If I was Front Row Amy, I’d bring a camera rather than keep score and flaunt my bosoms at everybody.  For the record, she’s old enough to be my mother.  She is a decent fan though, although the following she has really does boggle my mind.  Maybe I should wear some low cut yellow shirts….?  Naw, I had some blaze orange suspenders instead!

Brewers 6-8, Blaze Orange Wins (4), Foul/Practice Balls (2)

Game 7, I found a spot out in the bleachers.  I enjoy people-watching in between innings, and there are some real interesting people out there.  Again, flying solo, no camera, just there to enjoy another Brewers win!  Thank you blaze orange Brewers hat!

Brewers 7-8, Blaze Orange Wins (5), Foul/Practice Balls (2)

And that will conclude games I’ve seen in person so far this year.  I hope to go Monday, and watch the Brewers take on the Pirates.  I have to wait and see what tickets may come from this.  Look for some future blogs on players’ gloves, new interviews, and even a controversial stadium food blog!  Maybe even a bobblehead critique with their current choices and future choices.  Have a good night, and go Brewers!

As of tonight: Brewers 11-10

I am a life-long superfan of the Milwaukee Brewers, but don't hold that against me! I love baseball, every team, every crack of the bat, every close play, and especially the rivalries. I am 30 years old living in Brown Deer, WI (about 10 minutes north of Milwaukee). Currently I work in retail but hopefully soon I will be working for MLB, preferably in the MLB Fan Cave in New York City. My purpose in starting this blog is to highlight the Milwaukee Superfans as well as their antics, ramblings, and achievements. If I've missed anything, please feel free to send me a email and ask away! Go Brewers!
