June 8th is truly going to be a remarkable day! For the first time ever, Norichika Aoki will be doing a PUBLIC autograph signing at Legends of the Field in Mequon. But wait! To put this event over the edge, RYAN BRAUN, 5 time all-star, will also be doing his first public signing in 5 years right afterwards! I’ve done blogs before on the way Legends of the Field does their autograph events, and this one is going to be of the same caliber. Here are the details:
Legends of the Field – Mequon
11030 N Port Washington Rd
Mequon, WI 53092
Aoki will sign from 10am – 11:30am, all flat items like baseball cards and photos under 11×14 and baseballs will be $59.99, Premium items like jerseys and helmets will be $69.99.

I will most likely get this photo signed for my collection. It is one I personally shot and edited, and it pops.
Braun will be signing from 11:30am-1pm, and balls and flats up to 16×20 are $149.99, and premium items are $199.99.
Details are here! Braun-Legends
My personal choice is getting an all-star ball signed, preferably 2009, for my father for Father’s Day. What baseball-loving dad wouldn’t love something signed by the Brewers number one all-star of the last 5 years? Now I’m hoping my dad won’t read this prior to that day so it will be a surprise. The last few years I had given him an all-star ball signed by whichever Brewers players were voted in. So far he has 2007-JJ Hardy, 2008-Corey Hart, 2008-Ryan Braun, 2010-Corey Hart 2010-Yovani Gallardo. I’m planning on filling in the gaps in the next few years, pending opportunities like this one that Legends is offering us.
After the signing, there are a few things to consider. One, how are you going to display your newly acquired memorabilia piece? For me, I like to have my most prized baseballs displayed in nice cases like the one pictured here, which just so happens to have a Braun all-star ball shown in it! The glass is museum quality glass, which means the signature won’t fade from harmful UV rays. The base is wood, with a mirror on top, so it reflects the ball and makes it look absolutely beautiful. Legends has these on sale for $10 off, making them a steal at $24.99! If you’re going to display it, do it with class and elegance for a few bucks more than those plastic holders. His signature is worth it.
Of course if you want to go all out, consider a canvas from Legends. There are a lot of options available for purchase, like this one pictured on the right. It is a stunning piece in itself, but now imagine a large, silver signature from Ryan right across the middle. It makes a stunning piece that much more perfect.
Pictures, standard baseballs, canvases, mini-helmets and possibly some jerseys will be available for purchase at the event, so don’t worry if you don’t have something currently to get autographed. Last but not least, you will get that little silver sticker which means it is an authentic piece that was signed in person at Legends of the Field.
Make it an entire day outing! Coffee will be made available in the morning, and the Chancery will provide some snacks during after Braun’s time frame. Afterwards, head down to the Park for the game and support our boys in what hopefully will be a redeeming month of June. To ensure that such an epic day is possible, be sure to get your tickets in advance! They WILL sell out! As of now, there are a few left. You have 3 options: 1, purchase your ticket on the Legends website (see the links I posted earlier). 2, call and purchase over the phone at 262-236-9808 Monday-Friday 10am-7pm and Saturday 10am-6pm. 3, purchase in person at one of their locations: Mequon, Delafield, or Greenfield.
This is the biggest autograph event of the summer, and I hope to see you there!
