An Open Letter to Adam Richman and the Travel Channel

Dear Adam,

I wanted to write you and thank you for coming to our Mid-Summer Night’s Tailgate on July 20th at Miller Park.  For us, this was a very special occasion for many reasons, but you and the awesome crew from the Travel Channel’s “Fandemonium” made it truly one of a kind.  We tried to be as professional as possible and make it very stream-lined so we could take care of business and proceed to party on afterwards and we were happy that, with the exception of the sun and clouds, everything came together well.  AR I am glad that we are considered “Superfans” amongst the elite fans of the country, from those up at Arctic Man Alaska in the frigid temperatures, to the hardcore Nascar fans at Daytona and everyone in between.  Like you said, it is so hard to determine which group is the “Best” of the Superfans.  Nascar has some great set-ups, Arctic Man is dangerous and almost every year someone dies usually due to frigid temperatures, and even the Ren Faire in Texas, has their awesome playtrons dressed as if it really were the 1500s.  There isn’t a single scale to measure us all by, which is something I can appreciate.  I’ll tell you what, if we had more than 3 hours in the parking lot, we’d show you a thing or two you haven’t seen before!

Either way, this was our first tailgate with such an honored guest, and we thank you and the Travel Channel staff for choosing us.  I hope you enjoyed our bloody mary and our bacon log a.k.a. the Pete-loaf.  Next year we will have a much larger bacon log, because this one was gone within 5 minutes of us serving it.  Keep bringing inspiring food shows to the masses Adam, no one does it better!

Thank you!

Sincerely, Superfan Pete and the Milwaukee Superfansadamfoundfriends

Author: Superfan Pete

I am a life-long superfan of the Milwaukee Brewers, but don't hold that against me! I love baseball, every team, every crack of the bat, every close play, and especially the rivalries. I am 30 years old living in Brown Deer, WI (about 10 minutes north of Milwaukee). Currently I work in retail but hopefully soon I will be working for MLB, preferably in the MLB Fan Cave in New York City. My purpose in starting this blog is to highlight the Milwaukee Superfans as well as their antics, ramblings, and achievements. If I've missed anything, please feel free to send me a email and ask away! Go Brewers!
