Yes, I know this is unlike us, two updates in a day, but with so much going on in the Superfan Universe, it just couldn’t wait until the weekend!
First and foremost, the Crew has won 3 in a row against the Cubs down at Wrigley! Not only that, but the Superfans were in attendance for Game 1 of the series, sitting 8 rows off the field between home plate and the Brewers dugout! Great memories were made, thanks to Superfan AC down in Arizona, and Chris the Contractor! I took 1200 quality pictures with my Samsung NX100, and posted one of them below.
To top off the night, we were on ESPN (thanks to everybody for letting me know they saw me act a fool nationwide), I had a bison dog, and I got a game ball from Jonathan Lucroy. It’s pretty cool when you walk down to the dugout, and a bunch of guys on the team recognize you and wave, or come over to say hi. Thanks guys, although I doubt any of you will read this anytime soon! 🙂
Last but not least, some late-breaking news as of today: Left-handed Specialist Mitch Stetter has signed back with the Brewers organization! He is most definitely a Superfan Favorite, as you can see by all of us sporting the ol’ 57 jerseys with Stetter’s name on them. Mitch, we are all very proud of the hard work that you put in every single day, and we can’t wait to see how far you can go! The sky is the limit my friend. We are here to support you, always!

Opening Day weekend has come and gone. The Brewers won Saturday, but dropped 2 to the Cardinals on Friday and Sunday. Good thing there’s still 150+ games left, plenty of time to establish a concrete lead in the NL Central. But enough stats! Here’s 2 group pics from Opening Day Brewers Baseball!
Thanks to everybody who showed up to help us celebrate. The Hammerschlagen was yet again a highlight, as well as all the great food. Shoutout to Amy for the awesome taco dip.
“It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops.”
-A. Bartlett Giamatti
Baseball. We are on the cusp of possibly the most important and memorable season of my life. Because I will see something amazing? No. Well, maybe. Because the Brewers will win the World Series? Ha, hopefully, but that’s not it. Perhaps because the Brewers will beat the Cubs a lot this year? Probably, but not quite it either. Well, then why, you ask. The reason is because I am going to spend a lot of time with my friends down at the ballpark. Handy Jay, Wild Bill, Paulie Walnuts, Josh the Alaskan Assassin, Silvester, Ol’ Red, Schatzy, and possibly even Shaggy again will be there to help cheer our boys to victory along with significant others, and more friends than I can mention here. The camaraderie had by all is the reason that baseball still holds that magical, whimsical property.
Tomorrow we will all come together to break bread on Good Friday in the parking lot outside of Miller Park. We will be just a small part of the 45,000 fans in attendance, but we will be there together, as one Superfan Nation. The food has been prepped, the grill is warming up, the keg is tapped and we’re off… in 14 hours! Good luck this season Brewers, we’re counting on you to provide some great lasting memories again this season!

I apologize for the lack of updates, so I will summarize what’s been happening so far.
The Superfans went to Phoenix for Spring Training. Superfan Handy Jay and I watched 7 games, 6 Brewers games and 1 Rangers vs Indians game. Our boys are looking good! We got a lot of autographs including the elusive Grienke, Brauny, Yount, and of course, Corey “The Condor” Hart. Corey was up and walking around after his surgery, and made it a point to come and say hello while we were down at Maryvale. Also, we met Rob Wooten who will be playing AAA ball with Nashville this year. I threw some impromptu questions at him, some easy some controversial, and he answered everything perfectly! I will try to get a formal interview this year and post it on the blog. The Rangers-Indians game was one we had to go to in order to see former Brewer pitcher Mitch Stetter work his magic. 9 pitches, 1 strikeout, 2 groundouts and he was looking good. Also got to watch 3 innings from the outfield with former Brewer Brad Nelson who currently is playing for AAA Round Rock. It was great seeing these old friends again, and I wish them luck this season. I will hopefully have some interviews with them as well in the future.
Other than that, we received our season tickets, Jay is hosting the tailgate party this year, and we are already planning our trip to Kansas City in June, and I plan on heading to Wrigley on April 9th for some Brewers-Cubs action. It’s going to be a busy year, and like I say every pre-season…..
This is gonna be the year!
Thanks for reading fellow fans! Go Brewers!
Where to begin… Ah yes! Ryan Braun has been exonerated from his 50 game suspension! I am proud to say that the Superfans stand behind him 100%. He is an outstanding person and ballplayer, and we couldn’t ask for a better role model! Help us get back to the playoffs Brauny!!
In other news, the Brewers officially start Spring Training today with all players reporting to camp. Some have gotten a head start, like Manny Parra who has been working out at Maryvale for a few weeks now. That’s one of the perks of living in the area. I hope it is nice and sunny there for the guys, because back here in Wisconsin we just got 6 inches of the white fluffy stuff.
Before I go out and shovel, I’ll leave you with this information. The Superfans will be headed to sunny Arizona on March 6th/7th, and will be down there for 9-10 days. Superfan AC (Wayne) has been a phenomenal resource in making this a reality, and we want to thank him from the bottom of our Superfan hearts. Can’t wait to take all my ladies down to Grady’s! (formerly known as the Sugar Shack in Scottsdale, AZ).
Superfan Pete out!
